I am a brand and editorial strategist, and former account executive, with over eight years in advertising, communications and innovations. I flourish on projects where I'm able to challenge cultural norms, overturn stereotypes and champion women, but my exposure to this industry and types of clients is far more extensive.
I've worked across a range of industries — from beauty, tech, social justice and finance to food & beverage, CPG and QSR — for big and small clients, including CoverGirl, SheaMoisture, Under Armour, Visa, Prudential, Chase, Google, Ore-Ida (Kraft), Mattress Firm, Pizza Hut, the Transportation Security Administration, The Lawyers' Committee, Consumers Union and Conversation International, to name a few.
My expertise lies in designing and conducting national and global qualitative research; uncovering actionable insights; crafting brand positionings; developing innovation and creative strategies; managing creative; developing business growth plans; managing brand and marketing campaigns; and winning new business.
Outside of work, I actively contribute to diversity and inclusion programs, including teaching strategy for D5in10 Academy; mentoring upcoming talent with Manhattan Early College School (MECA) for Advertising and the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP); launching an internal agency diversity zine (at Droga5) called !Q; serving as the managing editor for CRWN magazine's third issue, Money and Power; and speaking about the importance of cultivating diverse talent in creative fields, most recently at CES 2018.
I'm also active member of various entrepreneurial networking groups, a 2018 fellow of Made in NY's creative entrepreneurship bootcamp, Creative to Founder, and create mini documentaries.
